A Positive Perspective

Your mind is so much stronger than your pride, but left unattended your pride can get in the way of what the mind could achieve. Sometimes we can trick ourselves into a certain train of thought, an approach, or reaction because our pride is leading our response. If you choose to lead consciously affirming the thought, approach, or reaction you would like or deserve; it is more likely that you will gain the perspective you set out for. If we spend our time and energy focusing on the way life has dealt us a bad hand, we can easily distract ourselves from the opportunities life is presenting to us in the present moment.

When situations and circumstances are difficult, painful, or unexpected they can be disheartening and discouraging as well which can promote a derogatory mental and emotional response. While that may be considered a normal immediate reaction or perspective given the predicament; it is important that we do not allow ourselves to dwell in that place. Check the negative energy at the door. Wasting time ignoring the blessings you do have and focusing on what your life is missing will not help your situation. In fact, it will hinder the growth of those blessing and relationships. Instead of wasting energy on the negative things in your life, focus and hone in on the things that are going your way, just as you planned or better to give yourself an energy boost in a positive direction. Then, put that renewed energy into the ways that you can better yourself and the situation that plagues you. Focus your energy on how you are actively gaining, earning, and acquiring the things, opportunities, person or people you seek.

Life experiences are hills and valleys. Everything can not and will not be peachy all of the time. How you react to that is entirely up to you. Your disappointments do not have to devastate you, handicap you, or deter you from your goal. They can only do that if you allow them to. Decide that you will find the opportunity, possibility, and hill out of every valley life hands you. Choose to keep climbing and be happy with the life, people, and blessings you have instead focusing on of the ones you want, and gain a positive perspective.
