Everyone would love to spend their life frolicking through weedless gardens and sunbathing on a beach, however, while there may be some days of bliss life comes with its storms as well. When there are storm clouds over your life, and you feel as if the rain simply will not stop pouring out frustration, hurt, disappointments, and pain- persevere. Practice what it is you want to see in your life. If you want to be loved show love to someone else. If you want to be appreciated show your gratitude. If you want to be happy, count the goodness in your life and all your many blessings, great and small. Have no doubt that while you may be in a difficult situation presently, eventually there will be relief. In the meantime, remember that before every rainbow you must first endure the rain. Be willing to wait out the storm. You may not be in control of your current situation, but your circumstance does not have to have control over you. Everyday you have to make a conscious decision to separate yourself from the negative Nancys, bitter Bettys, and Sour Susans. Remember that energy is contagious; create a comfortable distance between you and them. Re-evaluate your involvement with people who are draining energy from you, suffocating you with negativity, adding stress to your life, or bringing unnecessary drama to your table. Toxic relationships help you become stronger, wiser, and aware of how to process chaos and deal with the dramatic people in your life, but ultimately you need to determine how to limit, minimize, or eliminate them all together. They do more harm than good, hurt more than heal, and cause conflict more than compromise. Help others as best you can, but never forget about your own well-being, your happiness, your peace, and your mission: what you want out of this life, what you want to do, and the amount of time you have to get it done. You are on a journey to fulfill your own purpose.   What you have to bring to the world is your personal contribution, your treasure, and your duty.   Know that what you have to add to this world is an important piece of the puzzle. Get busy being in the business of creating what you love, doing what you love, and giving love. Stay encouraged, driven, and focused. Remember why you got started, be the example someone else is looking for to go after their dreams, and be determined to complete your task. You will never regret your effort, your blood, sweat, and tears will not be in vain because your destiny is placed in you for a reason. Your future is determined by your faith. Even in challenges and disappointments, take a moment to step outside of the emotions and tap into your awareness. Remind yourself that every experience offers an opportunity for you to grow, learn, or better yourself, but only if you are open to it. Sometimes may be harder than others depending on the circumstance, but if there is nothing else you can know for sure, know that there is always a lesson to be learned, a purpose for your peril, or clarity to be revealed and applied from each experience especially the most difficult ones. Every time you acknowledge your obstacles as sources of opportunity to move yourself closer to your dream, success, and greatness- you win.
