 When you are a person who can always be called on to  answer "the call"- the big and small; there will come a time in your life to pause, take notice, make changes, and shift. It is perfectly commendable and honorable to show up for others; however, you must become aware of when you are being useful and when you are being used. Be mindful of your own situation without ignoring your connections to others. This season, be cognizant of how much of your time you are giving away, and get fastidious about who you show up for when you opt to show up for them over yourself. Help others and be available, but do not forget to consider yourself in the process. Your time is a large portion of your wealth. There's No 'D' in Marriage

Yet another friend is going through a divorce and I asked myself- how do we keep getting here? Why are so many seemingly happy couples before their marriage doing a 180 within the first 3 years? What changes and are those changes, if any, so drastic that divorce is the only answer? For starters, I think the beginning of the end begins with you. Many 20-30 somethings get to a certain age, and decide that to fit the timeline they have set for themselves (or someone has set for them), they need to get married soon or as soon as possible.
