There Is No Genie

Some may think your dreams are too big, your goals are too high, and your nerve is unwarranted. Some may even misdirect, deter, disrespect, or dismiss your ambition, but that is too bad for them. You should know that their doubt is a reflection of their own misunderstanding of how much life will respond to you if you show up. You already know that some doors will not open even when you knock, every door that is open is not necessarily meant for you, and other knobs will turn but the door they are on will remain shut. That said, when you get to your door you will know it and will walk right through. In the meantime, your job is to find it; stay positive, stay motivation, be encouraged, and keep going. Now, if you are looking for a genie to presto your dreams into reality- good luck. You will certainly find a good one on Broadway in Aladdin, but if you are looking for a life where your dreams start to align with your reality just get to work. Your dreams will not work out for you until you do. Your destiny is the result of the chase; the sum of your relentless effort, dedication, and determination to see your dreams through despite the distractions and doubts, disbelief, or fears from others that you may encounter on the way. They will always think what they want, and there is nothing you can do about it. Now, you be the judge. Judge for yourself. Look yourself in the mirror and answer to you. Everyone else's take is just their opinion. The ideas they have formed about who they think you are have nothing to do with you, who you are, or who you are becoming. Even for the people that matter, whose opinions you hope are positive and at the very least, pragmatic- they only know some of your depth.
