Take It Up A Notch

When you can, take it up a notch. Put in some work but do it in high gear. Give your passion some extra time; go a little longer, a little harder, a little deeper. Putting the necessary work into the things you love is a must, but the next level needs some extra elbow grease from time to time: another day out of the week, another hour out of the day, another minute out of the hour. That extra, when called upon, reminds you and everyone watching that you are still grinding. Be an example of what the grind looks like. Keep working on what it is you do, have, or want, and take it up a notch. What you do and how you do it matters. It should matter to you that you are persistent. It should matter to you that you always do your best. It should matter to you, that no matter what anyone else says, you are working on something important to you, it is in progress and by putting your best effort into everything you do and going hard for what you want, you and your dream should not be taken lightly. Refuse to give them the audience they crave. Know when you are above the fray, and act accordingly. Remain elevated. Remember that you are pragmatic, motivated, sophisticated, and celebrated among those that truly know you. They will always think what they want, and there is nothing you can do about it. Now, you be the judge. Judge for yourself. Look yourself in the mirror and answer to you. Everyone else's take is just their opinion. The ideas they have formed about who they think you are have nothing to do with you, who you are, or who you are becoming. Even for the people that matter, whose opinions you hope are positive and at the very least, pragmatic- they only know some of your depth. Even they can not attest to your every challenge, consideration, conquest, desire or fear. Speak for yourself and speak up.
