Balancing Your Support

Are people constantly on your emotional doorstep? While you would like to help everyone with every issue every day until they are out of the dark, you can not allow someone else's negativity, drama, poor choices, or self-inflicted problems pull you in. It can be very difficult to know where to draw the line, but all of their issues are the lessons of life they need to experience for personal growth. Let them have their experience without it becoming a total distraction for you. Their issues should not be a headline but a small subsidiary story in your day. For all things show compassion by all means, but do so with the understanding that all experiences are meant to help you grow as an individual- that goes for everyone. Know that they too will eventually find themselves in a better place if they do what is necessary to work through their challenges. Part of your journey is balancing the support your give away and the work you put into your self for your own personal growth. Remember that you and your growth must be your first priority, and the only thing ultimately in your control. ~For more posts check out www.twitter.com/_TheAnswerKey & fb.me/TheAnswerKey.
